Our team has 50 years of combined experience creating solar power plants, resulting in over 4 GW of operating plants, enough electricity to power more than 3 million homes. David Brochu

David Brochu

Chief Executive Officer

Before founding PureGen Power, David led the development, construction and operation of thousands of MW of solar projects and billions of dollars of profitable investment as CEO of Recurrent Energy and President and CEO of UPC Solar. He earned an MS in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University and a BS from Texas A&M University.

I am honored to be working with such a highly qualified team. I know that together we will surpass investor expectations while making a solid contribution to 100% clean power.
Mitch Randall

Mitch Randall

President & Chief Legal Officer

Prior to co-founding PureGen Power, Mitch previously served as President of Recurrent Energy, where he led the development, financing and construction of utility-scale solar projects. Earlier in his career, he was a partner at Morrison & Foerster LLP. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, and a BS from the University of Colorado.

Our team is laser-focused on maximizing solar power plant production and value. With improvements in technology and continuing cost declines, solar will continue to become more competitive.
Bob Leah

Bob Leah

Senior Vice President

Prior to co-founding PureGen Power, Bob managed development of large-scale solar projects, from greenfield siting through commercial operation, as Recurrent Energy’s Vice President, Development and as Vice President, Business Development at UPC Solar. He received an MS and BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois.

I am delighted to be working with the PureGen team to help advance solar power’s full potential to help our country generate 100% of its power from sources that are safe, clean, reliable and economical.
Velvet Voelz

Velvet Voelz

Director, Asset Management

Velvet has extensive asset management experience in the renewable energy sector. She previously served as Director, Asset Management for Recurrent Energy, as well as working for GCL Solar, Pacific Gas & Electric Company and Fotowatio Renewable Ventures. She holds an MBA and MS in Environmental Management from the University of San Francisco.

I look forward to working with PureGen’s talented team to maximize investor returns by optimizing asset performance, reducing operating costs and implementing innovative solutions to technical challenges.
Jim Domencich

Jim Domencich

Director, Finance

Prior to joining PureGen Power, Jim served as Senior Manager, Project Finance, at Recurrent Energy and Senior Analyst at Viseon Energy. He earned an MS in Operations Research from Florida Institute of Technology, an MBA from University of Notre Dame and a BA in Economics from Ripon College.

I’m proud to be a part of PureGen’s contribution to a 100% clean energy future through continued improvement in the technology and management of our solar power plants.
Trevor Curry

Trevor Curry

Director, Engineering

Trevor Curry has more than a decade of experience optimizing design and providing strategy using economics-based engineering approaches to over 5 GW of clean power plants. He previously served as Director, Engineering at Recurrent Energy and has also worked at Black & Veatch, Sargent & Lundy and American Electric Power. He holds an Executive MBA from Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley, a BS in Electrical Engineering from The Ohio State University and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Illinois and California.

I am excited to be a part of this passionate team dedicated to bringing the world closer to a purely clean energy future by leveraging optimal technologies, enhanced economics and multifaceted industry expertise, while ensuring maximum grid-connected reliability.
